MarVista Entertainment closes agreement with Germany and México


The company announced that it had closed an agreement with the Mexican networks: Televisa and MVS Multivisión, as well as with the powerful German RTL.

Based in Los Ángeles, Marvista Entertainment, an independent producer and distributor, closed licensing agreements in which Televisa, MVS Multivisión and RTL Germany acquired TV movies from their catalogue.

The coproduction of MarVista Entertainment and Disney Channel: 16 Wishes, a familiar court film, was acquired by RTL Germany for its prime time calendar; Televisa also acquired the rights to broadcast in Mexico, as well as the film Riding Tornado. This agreement with Televisa formed part of the distribution alliance with Snap TV in Argentina.

For its part, the for payTV company MVS Multivisión, acquired the rights of three action for broadcast in the Mexican market: Kidnapped – 48 Hours of Terror, a production of MarVista Entertainment in asociation with Ambitious Entertainment, Elusive Productions and Reel One Entertainment; The errorist Next Door, directed by Jerry Ciccoritti; and Meteor Storm, produced by Ron French of Frenchfilms and executive production of the CEO of MarVista, Fernand Szew and president Michael D. Jacobs. To this agreement are added four romantic commedies to be broadcast in all of Latin America (except Brazil): Running with the Hitman, Girl’s Best, Friend and y Lost in Love.
